Takedowns and redeliveries

Removing a release from stores, or updating one that is already live.

Updated October 6, 2026

Updating a live release

Some changes can be redelivered to stores — for example a corrected credit or a changed genre. Others can’t be changed on a live release and need a takedown and new release, typically the audio itself or the primary artist.

Open the release in Catalog, make the change and submit; we’ll tell you in Review if it requires a new release.

Takedowns

Request a takedown from Requests → Takedown, choosing the stores and the reason. Stores process takedowns on their own schedule, usually within a few days. Removing a release removes its streams and playlists, and they don’t come back if you re-release it.

Unauthorized uploads

If someone else has uploaded your music, file a takedown request with links to the copies. Our team handles the claim with the store.
