1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your browser later. This site also uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in a similar way but are never sent to our servers.
This policy lists the cookies and storage items used on hillsmusic.com and explains how to control them.
2. Types of cookies we use
- Essential storage. This marketing site sets no cookies of its own. It stores your cookie choice and, for a single browser tab, where your visit came from — see the first table.
- Analytics (optional). Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are used. Set only with your consent.
- Advertising (optional). Cookies from Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn record whether you reached us from one of our ads, so we can measure which ads lead to applications. Set only with your consent.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you choose Accept all. Choosing Essential only turns them off everywhere.

The partner workspace at app.hillsmusic.com is a separate application. It uses an essential, first-party sign-in cookie (hills_session, HttpOnly and Secure) to keep you signed in; it is not used for analytics or advertising.
4. Third-party services
- Google Analytics and Google Ads (only with your consent): page views, the application event, device and browser information and the ad click that brought you here. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
- Meta Pixel (only with your consent): page views and the application event, linked to the Meta ad that brought you here.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (only with your consent): conversions from LinkedIn ads.
- Amazon CloudFront delivers this site. It sets no cookies, but like any web server it logs the IP address of each request.
We don't control cookies set by third parties. See each provider's privacy policy for details.
5. Managing your choice
- Change your choice: use (also in the footer) to choose again.
- Browser settings: every modern browser lets you view, delete and block cookies. Clearing this site's data also resets your cookie choice, and the notice appears again on your next visit.
- Ad settings: you can opt out of personalised ads in your Google, Meta and LinkedIn account settings.
Your choice is stored on the device and browser you used, so you may be asked again on another device.
6. Policy updates
We update this policy and the tables above whenever we add or remove a cookie. If we add a new non-essential cookie, we ask for your consent again before setting it.
