Setting up your white-label platform

Domain, branding, legal pages, email and delivery for your own distribution brand.

Updated October 6, 2026

A white-label platform runs on HILLS under your brand. Setup has four parts.

1. Domain

Choose the address your clients will use, for example music.yourlabel.com. Add the CNAME and TXT records we give you at your domain provider; once both are verified, the domain goes live with its certificate.

Set your display name, logo and brand colour. Your sign-in page and workspace show your brand. Add links to your own terms, privacy policy and any other legal page.

3. Sender email

Emails to your clients — invitations, password resets — can be sent from your own address. Add the email authentication records we provide so they land in the inbox rather than spam.

4. Store deals and delivery

Store deals are set per store, either direct or through Merlin, each with its own status (draft, active, paused, ended). If you deliver to your own endpoints, add them as FTP, FTPS or SFTP with a password, SSH key or client certificate, and use Test connection to check them.

When all four are done, invite your first artists and labels from the workspace — invitations are valid for 7 days.
